Jan Nerenberg, Ph.D.
I've always scribbled, making up stories, writing letters of self-expression, and entertaining children, grandchildren, and my readers. I love to mentor new writers, edit, and record the stories of the characters and worlds that live in my imagination.
My Bachelor of Arts degree was composed of a triple major in Literature/Creative Writing/Studio Art in 2009 from Pacific University, Forest Grove, Oregon. I graduated Magna Cum Laude.
In 2011 I earned my Masters of Fine Arts degree from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
I gained my Doctoral degree from Aberystwyth University located in Aberystwyth, Wales, UK, in 2016. I studied English/Creative Writing and wrote my first full-length novel, Standing Stone, as part of my thesis.
It is 2018 and I am updating my site to include more than short stories and travel diaries. Now you will find that the topics more closely reflect Right, Write, and Word-Wright. Under Right, you might find book reviews and nods to fellow blogger's sites; Write will contain some of my short stories as well as my traditional posts; in Word-Wright you will read parts of my thesis as well as bits of advice on writing.
